Iron Medici Madonna

Descripción

This sculpture is an iron replica of the "Medici Madonna." The Virgin Mary is depicted holding the Christ child on her lap, gazing at him with a serene and gentle expression. The folds of her garments and the tightly composed interaction between mother and child evoke the intimacy and calm typical of Renaissance art. The original is an unfinished work attributed to Michelangelo.
