Crouching Venus

Description

This statue depicts the goddess Venus crouching, as if surprised while bathing. Her glance over the shoulder conveys both modesty and alertness, a classical motif found in ancient Greek mythological art. The softness of the skin and the dynamic curves are exquisitely rendered in marble.
