Iron Andre Cheniers Muse

Description

This sculpture captures a muse in the throes of intense emotion. Kneeling and twisting her body, she clutches the cloth at her chest with gripping tension, as if trying to contain a storm of passion within. Her face, partially veiled, is tilted downward, and the curve of her neck and bowed head evoke a sense of sorrow and deep introspection.
