Description

The American Cup was created in Brazil by Nadir Figueiredo in 1947, inspired by an existing model in the USA, but adapted to Brazilian needs. Its name actually comes from the importation of American machinery for production, which generated the nickname "American cup." The design, which made it an icon of versatility and durability, was exhibited at MoMA and became a symbol of Brazilian culture and practicality.
