Torso Of A Woman Iris

Beschreibung

Though headless and limbless, this torso sculpture holds an astonishing expressive power. The delicately carved drapery clings to the form beneath it, as if frozen in a fleeting moment of motion. The folds around the waist and thighs suggest both strength and grace, imbuing the figure with a lifelike presence that feels ready to move. This dynamic stillness, combined with the absence of defining features, invites the viewer's imagination to fill in the gaps—evoking scenes from ancient myth and timeless beauty.
